Sex Injuries Women Get, and How to Avoid Them

A healthy sex life is important to a person’s overall wellbeing, both mental and physical. But things can go wrong during the act, leading to injuries that sometimes require a trip to the emergency room. While it’s important for men to practice appropriate penis care steps before, during and after sex, it’s also important to think about a lady partner’s wellbeing. Listed below are five common sex injuries or accidents that may befall a woman, as well as prevention steps for a safer sexual experience.
1) Vaginal Tearing
By far, this is one of the most common consequences of sex for women. The delicate skin around the vagina’s opening can tear, become inflamed and bleed, leading to a day or two of pain for a woman, and possibly the inability to go for round two (or three or four) in the sack.
Vaginal tearing is most likely to occur if a woman is insufficiently lubricated. To decrease the likelihood of injuring a woman’s precious entry point, a man should make sure not to insert his penis, multiple fingers or other objects until she is thoroughly aroused and slick. Some partners need to use a product to achieve sufficient lubrication.
Another cause of vaginal tearing is rough and/or prolonged sex. Some people like it that way, and it’s up to a woman to decide if it’s worth the likely consequence of soreness. Keeping lubed up in this situation is helpful, but may not prevent all tearing.
2) Lost Condom
Ever lose a condom? It may have been lodged inside a partner. While it may be possible to remove it at home, especially a while after sex when the vagina returns to its shortened pre-arousal length, some women require the assistance of a doctor.
Condom slippage can occur for a number of reasons. There may be too much lubrication inside the condom, in which case just putting lube in the tip, or not putting any inside, may be necessary. The barrier may also simply be too big for a man’s member. Or condom slippage may result from inadequate lubrication inside a woman’s vagina. Dryness creates friction, which can pull the condom off a man. Adequate external lubrication, limited internal lubrication and a proper fit are key to preventing slippage.
3) Muscle Strain
It’s easy to see how muscle strain can result from sex in nearly any position. For a woman who likes variations of the missionary style, such as having her legs bent and held close to her body, hip flexor strain often occurs. The hip flexors stretch from the top of the thighs to the lower back and are held contracted in such positions. Some women enjoy these positions enough to withstand the consequence, but those who want to be able to walk more easily the next day can use more straight-legged positions or switch positions more frequently.
4) Yeast Infection
A woman can get yeast infections from sex - especially if saliva is around her vagina. Since foregoing oral sex may not be a woman’s favorite option, a man can help out by making sure there is no saliva on his penis from oral sex when entering her, as well as not using saliva as lube.
5) Urinary Tract Infection
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are made more likely by rough sex or inadequate lubrication because vaginal tearing increases a lady’s risk of them. She should also urinate before and after having sex to flush away bacteria that causes the infection.
In addition to keeping a woman safe and pleased during sex, a man can boost his sexual experience by using a penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) after showering. The best moisturizer will contain a combination of hydrators, such as Shea butter and vitamin E, for soft and resilient skin. This will reduce the likelihood of chafing and discomfort from the friction of a lover’s body or a man’s own hand, allowing him to be ready for the next encounter.

Sore Penis - One Man’s Story of Injury and Recovery

For movie directors, a sore penis is comedic gold. A character who takes a hit to the groin is sure to make an audience roll with laughter, especially since most directors ensure that the wounded guy gets right back up in a scene or two. The shots just seem funny, especially since movie characters rarely end up with long-term penis care concerns related to the blows.

But in reality, a sore penis problem isn't a laughing matter. Just ask a man that will be referred to here as Edward. When his dick got sore, he didn't feel like laughing at all.

How it Happened
"Just a heads up: This is a pretty brutal story. But it's true, and I think every guy out there should know that it can happen, and that's why I'm talking about it," Edward says.

"I was the kind of guy who didn't like to wear underwear," he says. "I just liked to let things hang free as I was walking around. It felt good to me. Plus, when I wanted to get busy with a lady, I didn't have to mess with a whole bunch of clothing. I was pretty much ready to go on demand. I liked that, too."

"I'd never had a problem with it, but on this particular night, I was wearing jeans with a zipper fly, and I was just getting to know a lady partner," he says. "She was the impatient sort, and before I could warn her or anything, she was tugging on my zipper like crazy."

"You guessed it: A little bit of the head of my penis got caught in the zipper, and she kept pulling before she noticed," he says. "So I had a bit of very sensitive skin all tangled up with the metal of the zipper. I was screaming my head off."

"When this kind of thing happens, you're temped to just keep pulling on that zipper to get the skin free, but let me tell you, the pain is worse than I can describe," he says. "There's no way I was going to let anyone touch anything down there unless there was some form of pain management involved. So off to the hospital I hobbled."

The Right Care
Men with trapped skin like this can sometimes free themselves by cutting the zipper, or they can sometimes use screwdrivers to pull the teeth of the zipper apart. But injuries like this are associated with several nasty symptoms, including:

- Bleeding
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Blistering
That makes the area hard to work with, and that could make DIY efforts futile. Going to a doctor is, then, the safer option.

"It was super embarrassing to be in the emergency room with my private parts stuck in my zipper. I won't lie," says Edward. "I don't think I made eye contact with anyone the whole time I was there. I just kept looking at the floor and hoping the whole thing would go away."

"But, after a while, they gave me some sedation and they broke that zipper apart. I don't know how they did it, as I was too afraid to look, but they did manage to get my skin free. I didn't even need stitches," he says.
"But my sore penis problems lasted for quite some time. The skin that had been trapped was red and bloody and bruised. Even sitting down hurt for weeks," he says.
"I'm all healed now, but you can bet that I always wear underwear," he says. "I'm never going through that again!"

Guys like Edward, who have been through a traumatic injury, need to focus on skin health, so they can allow their traumatized tissues to recover and stay resilient. A penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can help. These products have everything damaged tissues need in order to function beautifully in the days ahead.

Penis Pain Due to Urinary Stones: Steps for Relief

As any man who has passed them can attest, urinary stones can cause significant discomfort, including substantial penis pain. While the pain from urinary stones is typically more severe in other parts of the urinary tract, the pain in the penis itself can be of concern. Practicing proper penis care is essential for dealing with such soreness in the member.

What causes it?
Urinary stones, frequently called kidney stones or bladder stones, form in the urinary tract when certain conditions are present. Essentially, stones are formed from an overabundance of one or more minerals.
The most common culprit in urinary stone formation is calcium, but there are other substances - such as uric acid, magnesium or phosphate - that can be involved in stone formation. Excess minerals may clump together to create small crystals. These are generally passed through the system with little or no discomfort. However, when the crystals reach a certain size and mass, they are classified as stones and have the potential to create severe pain.

Risk factors
Some people are more likely than others to get urinary stones, including:
- Those who are dehydrated
- People whose diets include too much animal protein and/or vitamin C
- Individuals with family members who have a history of stones
- Some people who have had surgery to help them lose weight

Pain
Where a stone lodges can determine what kind of pain it causes. (Of course, some stones are small and pass through the system unnoticed, causing little or no discomfort.) When in the bladder, the pain is most often in the stomach area. When the stone is in the kidneys, pain is often in the back but in some cases can spread all across the entire stomach area and into the groin. And when the stone is in the urethra, it can cause a high level of penis pain.

In addition, some stones cause other symptoms, including nausea, sweating, blood in the urine, a burning sensation in the urinary tract, chills, fever and/or frequent urination.

Prevention
Preventing stones is an excellent idea. (Who likes pain, after all?) One of the best ways to do this is by drinking plenty of water: 8 to 10 glasses each day. Dietary changes (depending on the kind of stone to which a person may be prone) can also help, as can taking certain drugs that reduce the conditions under which stones may form.

Treatment
In most cases, a person simply must wait for the stone to pass and take pain relievers to help lessen the intensity of discomfort. In persistent cases, the stone may be broken up (by means of sound waves) or surgically removed; however, the latter is rarely done.

Relief
While waiting for a stone to pass, a person should be kept as comfortable as possible. Depending on where the pain is, that may mean lying in various positions. Using pillows to proper up appropriate parts of the body may help. Sometimes, placing an ice pack covered in cloth against the area can help relieve soreness. Staying hydrated is also very much recommended.

After the stone has passed, affected body parts may be tender. Penis pain caused by urinary stones may linger. This is an excellent time to begin using a quality penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). The sore penis responds very well to a crème that includes a combination of a high-end emollient (such as Shea butter) and a natural hydrator (such as vitamin E). This combination moisturizes as it soothes. It's also helpful to apply a crème that includes L-arginine. This ingredient boosts nitric oxide production, which in turn helps keep penis blood vessels open. The proper flow of blood throughout the organ can help to provide oxygen, which in turn benefits the sore tool.

Penis Health - 7 Everyday Care Steps

For some guys, their personal care routine begins and ends with the occasional shower. But there are additional considerations to keep in mind when it comes to penis health. While a man’s rod doesn’t require a lot of fuss to be kept in good form and function, it doesn’t hurt to practice a few extra penis care steps throughout the day, and to know how everything from what a man eats to the personal care products he uses can affect the tool. The following list will help men take the best care of what they’re packing.

1) Wash right. Some men don’t think twice about washing their penises as they wash the rest of their bodies. This doesn’t always work out well for the delicate member skin. Excessive washing, scrubbing and use of scented body washes or soaps can all dry out the skin and make it less sensitive to pleasurable sensations - something no man wants. Washing the tool daily in warm water is generally sufficient to keep it clean. Intact men should gently retract the foreskin and wipe away smegma accumulation with their fingers.
For men with frequent smegma buildup, doing this multiple times a day outside the shower may be necessary.

2) Lube right. Men have used all sorts of slippery substances to slick their sausages during solo play. While adequate lubrication is important both when masturbating and when having sex with a partner, it’s equally important to use the right kind of lubrication. Avoid soaps, shampoos and other products not designed for the penis when lubing up.

3) Self-gratify right. While there’s certainly no one "right" way to yank the chain, there are some wrong ways that can lead to injury or loss of sensitivity with a partner. Using a chokehold grip or relying on super hardcore visual stimuli can desensitize a man to actual sexual stimulation with a partner. Sticking a penis where it doesn’t belong (think: vacuum hose) can lead to skin and muscle injury that any man would do well to avoid.

4) Eat right. Foods that promote healthy circulation are good for the penis, since erections are created by a rush of blood into the penis. Foods like leafy greens, chili peppers and tomatoes can help keep the blood flowing strong.

5) Exercise right. Cardiovascular exercise strengthens the heart’s ability to pump blood throughout the body. While regular cardio exercise is important, it’s just as important not to over-train. Guys who push themselves hard with any kind of exercise without taking adequate recovery time in between workouts experience heightened levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that, among other nasty things, lowers testosterone levels. That can wreak havoc on a guy’s sex drive and ability to achieve erections.

6) Self-examine right. Men should perform frequent visual and manual checks of their members. Assess the skin condition and feel for any lumps or bumps. While self-examining is crucial, don’t self-diagnose. If something is different or concerning, seek out proper diagnosis from a medical professional.

7) Moisturize right. Some guys get dry, flaky skin on the penis. This could be caused by a number of factors, including friction from one’s hand or a partner’s body, rubbing up against fabric or cold weather. Guys might be tempted to reach for any old body lotion, but the penis deserves a lotion designed with it in mind, without harsh chemicals or fragrances that may irritate the delicate skin. A penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) is the best option for moisturizing a dry penis. A product with a combination of Shea butter and vitamin E can tag-team dry skin by both providing and locking in moisture.

Sexual Health: The Importance of Overcoming Negative Male Body Image

Body image is usually discussed in relation to women, and for good reason. Women’s bodies are constantly treated as objects by the media, and even by many men and women in everyday life. But men are not immune to self-consciousness about their bodies. A 2014 study found that about one in five adolescent boys were highly concerned about their bodies, and we can expect this to carry into adulthood for many. Since negative body image can impact mental and physical wellbeing, sexual health and even penis health, it’s important to be aware of the common concerns men have and to identify them in oneself if they are present. Working toward a better relationship with one’s body makes for a more fulfilling life.

Weight Woes
Weight is something men and women with body image issues tend to fixate on. Now, it’s true that some people are unhealthily overweight, and this is something to be concerned about; however, extra weight does not necessarily make a person unattractive, disgusting, lazy or any of the other negative labels modern culture tends to put on bigger people. If a man is concerned about his weight, he should consider whether it’s actually a health problem or if he’s just been comparing himself to chiseled, V-shaped male models. The latter have rare body types and spend a whole lot of time maintaining them, and most men shouldn’t expect to look like that.

If a man (preferably along with medical professionals) determines that his weight is a problem from a health standpoint, he would do well to adopt better eating habits and an exercise regimen. But he doesn’t need to hate his body wherever it’s at now. He can feel good about treating it well, and cultivate an appreciation for the many things it can do as it is already.

Muscle Madness
Modern culture, and others throughout history, have forged a strong connection between masculinity and musculature. "Real men" are strong; "real men" pump iron; "real men" are chiseled. This can cause body image issues in a wide range of men, from those on the thin side to those who are bigger without the brawn to even those who work out at the gym and have a muscular physique.

Muscles are good things to have. They help people perform physical feats and acquire stamina with which to perform tasks longer. So if a man wants to do bodyweight, free weight or machine exercise to gain muscle, more power to him. But let’s do everyone a favor and stop pretending that a man’s muscle mass says anything about his gender identity, sexuality, personality or character.

Penis Pressure

The manhood is definitely one of the most fretted-over body parts a man has. Is it "big enough"? Is its shape "weird"? Will potential partners run away when they see foreskin/Fordyce spots/pearly penile papules? Does it perform well enough during sex? These concerns can prevent a man from having a healthy sex life, which, in turns, negatively impacts penis health.

Almost every man’s penis is the size it is supposed to be, whatever that is. A whole 95% of men fall within average length range, with only about 2.5% below and 2.5% above. Very rarely, a medical condition may lead to a size small enough to inhibit function, and only men so affected have good reason to be concerned. Every penis is different. Some curve a bit this way or that; some have natural anatomical variations like papules or Fordyce spot that speckle the shaft or glans; some have a foreskin and some don’t. As far as performance goes, as long as a man is in good health, his penis should perform just fine. Other factors, such as his experience level, whether he’s done research into pleasure spots/positions and whether he has taken the time to get to know what pleases his partner specifically, need to be considered.

Penis concerns have been greatly exacerbated by the enlargement product industry, which gets rich by feeding off men’s body image issues in the downstairs department. But there are products men can use to enhance penis health, and that’s what counts. If a man feels compelled to add something extra to his personal care routine besides regular washing and frequent use of his rod, he can consider investing in a penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). Natural hydrators like Shea butter and vitamin E are great for the skin, and other nutrients in the product may promote better blood flow and nerve sensitivity. A man deserves to love what he has and should treat it right.

Threesome Sex Positions - Maneuvering for Maximum Effectiveness

Who hasn't at some time at least fantasized about a threesome sexual encounter? Many adventurous souls who move beyond the imagination and into the reality find themselves with a dilemma: What sex positions work best for a sensual trio? When a man has followed appropriate penis care, his tool may be ready, but the rest of his body may need to take a moment to get acclimated.
Let's take a look at some of the most common threesome sex positions so that any man reading this will go into this adventure ready to take charge.

Oral all over.
Commonly called a daisy chain, this is the easiest position to fall into. The three participants lie down and form a circle, with each mouth placed in the genital area of one of the partners. For those trios that are content to concentrate solely on oral sex and masturbation, this is ideal. One thing to consider: Assuming that two of the three members are of the same sex, this means that one will be performing orally on the other - and that may need to be decided beforehand. (Of course, one can always switch around so that the partner combinations change.)

Sequential oral.
In this position, one partner lies down on his or her back. Another partner nestles between the prone partner's legs and performs orally and manually. At the same time, the third partner straddles the prone partner and offers their own genitals for oral and manual gratification. It's worth noting that the prone partner and the third partner get serviced in this way, but the remaining partner may be stuck servicing him- or herself.

Here doggy.
One partner assumes the doggy position, while a male partner penetrates from behind. The third partner can place him- or herself near the penetrated partner's head for oral pleasuring. This position allows each of the participants to be on the receiving end of pleasure; however, the partner in the doggy position must be comfortable with engaging in oral sex while being penetrated. This position is very empowering for the alpha male who gets to do the penetrating.

Legs up.
A certain amount of limberness is required here. A female partner lies on her back and lifts her legs in the air. A male partner mounts her, but in reverse: He straddles her hips with his butt facing her and then bends over on all fours. Facing away from her, he maneuvers his penis into her vagina and begins thrusting. The third partner then presents him- or herself to the man's face in order to receive oral stimulation from him.

MFM sandwich.
For trios with two men and a woman, this can be incredible. One of the men lies prone and the woman begins performing fellatio. She can lie down or do this with her hips in the air. As she fellates, the other man penetrates her. This is another position that allows all three partners a great degree of stimulation and pleasure.

While it is a good idea to have potential positions in mind when beginning a threesome, it's also important to remember that what works well in one's head may not be the best position when it gets to the playing field. Be ready to change and improvise - and definitely go with the flow. Finding the right sex positions should be fun and part of the process.

Beyond sex positions, any man in a threesome needs to make sure his package is in presentable shape. Using a top-flight penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can be a lifesaver here, especially for men with rank penis odor or member skin that is dry or flaky. Persistent penis odor responds well to a crème with the anti-bacterial powerhouse vitamin A. And a crème that includes a combination of hydrators, such as Shea butter and vitamin E, is well-poised to attack that penis skin condition and give it the moisturization that can make it smooth and beautiful - just the kind of tool to sport at any threesome.

Normal Penis Dispensing With Common Manhood Anxieties

While body image issues predominately affect women, men are not immune to such sensitivity, especially when it comes to what they’re packing downstairs. It’s fairly common knowledge that most men fear their penises are too small, when in fact only about 2.5% of men have members that fall below the average length range. However, size is not the only unfounded concern men have about their tools. There are other types of insecurities based on misconceptions about what constitutes a "normal penis." Since confidence and mental wellbeing are just as important to a man’s sex life as penile health, it’s important for men to confront and overcome their body image issues when it comes to the penis. The following are three common causes of insecurity that don’t deserve to be.

1) Foreskin: Foreskin covers the sensitive glans (head) of the penis and provides lubrication to the member. The material that accumulates beneath the foreskin, smegma, may contain anti-bacterial properties (although allowing it to build up can lead to excess bacteria and infections). The penis’s natural wrapper has a bad rap in some circles as something dirty, but proper cleaning is usually enough to keep an intact penis fresh, clean and free of odors. Foreskin and smegma aren’t bad; they’re what nature gave men to provide lubrication and glans protection. Plus, retracting the sheath over the head with one’s fingers or lips can be a fun extra step for partners.

In the U.S., it’s easy for men to adopt the view that a circumcised penis is a normal penis, since about three-quarters of American men are cut. However, the World Health Organization reports that only one-third of men globally are circumcised. The intact form a majority!

2) Fordyce spots: These bumps are small with a whitish or yellowish color. They may be found on the shafts of many penises; they can also appear inside the mouth or on a woman’s vulva. The sebaceous glands produce a lubricating oil called sebum; that is what fills Fordyce spots. They can’t be made to go away by popping them.

Fordyce spots are not contagious and are completely harmless. While surgical procedures exist to remove them, this is unnecessary. Men who are self-conscious about these spots can rest assured that they are not alone.

3) Pearly Penile Papules: These bumps are white or skin-colored and form one or several rows around the ridge of the glans. It is likely that at least a quarter of all men have these bumps, and they are more common in uncircumcised men. The distinctive pattern and shape of the bumps make them resemble a pearl necklace adorning the glans.

Many men are unfortunately extremely self-conscious about these bumps, particularly when exposing themselves to a new partner. They fear that the bumps will be seen as a sign of a sexually transmitted infection and scare the partner away, or that the partner will find them aesthetically displeasing. This is where a man should open up and explain that the bumps are a normal anatomical variation called pearly penile papules and that they are not contagious. They just make his penis even more special. Generally, the bumps are completely harmless to a man, although some may find that they get irritated with particularly rough masturbation or sex. As with Fordyce spots, surgical procedures exist to remove them, but this route is best avoided.

There are so many natural anatomical variations concerning shape, size and bumps that it doesn’t really make sense to talk about what is normal for a penis generally. What’s important is that men tend to the health of their members, encouraging good form and function both now and in the years to come. A penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can be of assistance here, moisturizing the skin, promoting proper blood flow and protecting nerves from desensitization caused by years of use and abuse. Men should love what they have and treat it well.

Oral Sex: Getting to 69

As most men would agree, there’s nothing quite like a little oral sex to put an enormous smile on a man’s face. Truth be told, most women are pretty fond of being orally gratified as well, which means that the couple that can achieve a 69 situation - simultaneously giving each other oral pleasure - is one happy couple. While appropriate penis health is essential for any kind of oral gratification activity, achieving 69 requires more than that: planning, coordination and physical flexibility, for example.

Why 69?
Simultaneous mutual oral gratification between two partners is typically called 69 because the two digits that make up the number appear to be head-to-crotch with each other. The stem of the 6 is pointing toward the head of the 9 and vice versa, reflecting the idea of two people in what would at least appear to be an ideal position for giving oral pleasure one to the other.

Not for everyone
Achieving 69 is not something that’s at the top of every couple’s list, but most men are eager to at least experience it. For some couples, it just doesn’t work out: The physical maneuvering doesn’t make it worthwhile, or it may be more difficult for one partner to concentrate on the other at the same time that his or her genitals are being orally engulfed. So before embarking, it’s good to have a discussion and see if one’s partner is willing to try it.

Don’t be discouraged
If a couple does decide to make the attempt, it’s good to set up a basic "this is an experiment" agreement. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, it should still be fun. The goal is to try something different and enjoy the experience, whatever happens.

Prepare.
As with any sexual encounter, partners want to be at their best. Since a great deal of time is going to be spent with each partner up close and personal with the other’s equipment (and quite near the anus as well), it’s an excellent idea to take a shower just before starting. There may be a temptation to add a little powder or aroma to the area as well, but that’s not needed. Powder may end up in the partner’s mouth and a little perfume (in addition to being potentially painful to the genitals) might be overpowering, not to mention displeasing to the taste buds.

Men may also want to consider doing a little groin grooming. Depending on a partner’s preference, trimming the bush or even doing a to-the-skin shave may make the experience more palatable.

Figure out the best position.
What is going to work best for a couple: laying one on top and one on bottom or side by side? Or switching between the two? Or starting with one on top and then flipping midway through? Each couple is different and needs to find its own way; however, when opting for one on top and one on bottom, most couples find it preferable for the man to be on the bottom. Since men tend to weigh more, this places less weight on the woman. In addition, if the woman is on top, she’s in greater control of how she performs the oral sex. If the woman is on bottom, a man may start thrusting in a manner that is uncomfortable for her.

Reciprocate.
The most important rule: Don’t just lie there. This is a mutual experience, so both partners need to be giving as well as receiving.
Achieving 69 (or any form of oral sex) is much more likely when a man’s equipment is appealing. Regular use of a quality penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) helps deal with major turn-offs such as unwanted penis odor and dry or flaky skin. A crème that contains vitamin A will have anti-bacterial capabilities to attack any persistent odor that showering doesn’t address. And one loaded with natural moisturizers such as Shea butter and vitamin E can do wonders for common penile skin issues that can be so off-putting. A healthy penis is one that stands a much better chance of oral engulfment.

Sex Tips: Date Movie Dos and Don't's

Going to a date movie is de rigueur for couples, although for some men the experience can be on the boring side. Nonetheless, numerous sex tips mention the need for a man to make an effort to share the interests of his partner, which only makes sense and is really quite fair. Guys sometimes think that successful dating involves nothing more than being masculine and entertaining, and making sure their penis care regimen has kept them ready for action. That only scratches the surface, and a date movie is an inevitable part of long-term (or even many short-term) relationships.

What is a date movie?
Simply put, a date movie is a film the plot of which has an emphasis on a romantic relationship. The idea is that this is a film that helps solidify or reflect the romantic feelings of couples viewing it.
Following a few simple do’s and don’t’s can make the date movie experience more productive. Here are some basics to remember - starting with what NOT to do:

Don’t:
- Expect a lot of action. Romantic comedies (or romcoms, for short) are the most typical date movies, although serious romantic dramas are also popular. However, it’s hard to stretch the definition of a date movie to include lots of explosions or fierce battles between giant robots.

- Suggest that watching a pornographic video should count as a date movie. Many couples do enjoy incorporating pornography into their relationship; but when a woman is asking for a date movie, she’s looking for something else for the time being. (The good news is that "something else" often leads to some steamy sex after the movie.)

- Joke all the way through the film. The occasional witty remark is fine, but when one starts making fun of the film’s flaws or outlandish plot twists, the warm glow one’s partner had been feeling may turn into an impenetrable iciness.

- Leave midway during the film to get popcorn or to visit the facilities (unless, of course, Nature really is calling). The point of a date movie is to be together, and a man’s absence will be felt and significantly noted.

Do:
- Keep things in perspective. A relationship is give-and-take; if she has gone to three end-of-the-world action flicks in a row, maybe going to one romcom isn’t such an outrageous request after all.

- Make a real effort. Although a lot of men resist date movies, many find that, once they watch them, they enjoy them much more than they might want to admit. However, even if a man resolutely hates the date movie experience, he needs to be sensitive to how his partner feels about it and not ruin the experience for her.

- Take advantage of the romantic scenes. Wrapping one’s arms around one’s partner and squeezing tight during an appropriate scene feels nice for both parties. A guy should pay attention to what the onscreen couple does that causes a warm reaction in his date; he may be getting some hints that he can use later on in the evening to get a similar response.

- Use the movie to demonstrate a sensitive side. A guy should talk intelligently about what happened in the film, and be sure to listen to what his date has to say. This can be a learning experience that actually deepens one’s relationship.

Sex tips focus frequently on sharing experiences, and making a date movie a success can be a big advance for a couple. Some of the best sex occurs after viewing such films. Guys should therefore make sure that their tools are in good health for any post-date activities. Using a superior penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) is ideal for maintaining that health. Those that contain vitamin A can help banish unwanted penis odor (a deal-breaker in bed), thanks to that vitamin’s potent anti-bacterial properties. And one that contains L-arginine can help to keep penis blood flow in proper order, something guys don’t think about but which is crucial for proper penis function.

Penis Washing with Dry Manhood Skin: What to Do

Penis skin is sensitive and, in at least one respect, that’s a very good thing. Without responsive skin, a man wouldn’t derive as much pleasure from his solo- and partner-based sexual experiences. However, for some men, the skin may be susceptible to dryness and chafing, which make penis washing difficult as they create a different kind of sensitivity that can lead to pain in the shower. Since regular, thorough washing is one of the key components of penis health, it’s important for men with dry, sensitive skin to figure out how to go about it. The following tips may help.

1) Don’t wash too frequently. Washing the penis every day is a good idea; washing it several times a day isn’t likely necessary. Men with foreskin sometimes experience quick smegma buildup, and this is something to take care of, since smegma left sitting around beneath the prepuce can collect bacteria, creating odors and/or infection. But men with this issue can simply retract the foreskin, dampen a finger and wipe the stuff away, perhaps every time they urinate. It doesn’t require a thorough washing, which, when repeated several times a day, could dry the skin out.

2) Don’t scrub. Many people were taught to scrub their skin in the shower to make sure all the dirt, dead skin cells and excess bacteria are being sent down the drain. But scrubbing is not a good idea for the penis, and it’s not necessary to clean it. Men can use a gentle massaging motion with their fingertips as they rinse, which should not only cut down on irritation, but actually feel good.

3) Use warm instead of hot water. Hot water is best for killing germs, right? Actually, hot water is best for stripping natural lubricating oils from the skin, leaving it dry and raw. If a man has to have his hot, steamy shower, then he should turn the temperature down before focusing on his penis.

4) Skip the soap. Generally, warm water is sufficient to clean the penis. Soaps can irritate the delicate manhood skin, particularly those with fragrances. If a man feels he must use soap on the member, he would do well to choose a natural soap with no astringent ingredients in it.

5) Mind the body wash as well. The soap or body wash a man uses on the rest of his body also carries the potential to irritate his penis skin if he is particularly sensitive. It’s not really possible to keep things totally contained in the shower, and streams of body wash can end up cascading over the penis despite a man’s best intentions. Natural, gentle body soaps are best.

6) Avoid other harsh products. Shower time may be easier on the penis if a man isn’t entering it with a bad start. Harsh fabrics, laundry detergents, lotions and scented lubes can all be rough on a man’s equipment, creating a sore and dried-out area requiring special care in the shower. Some men even develop a rash from contact dermatitis associated with harsh products. Weed out potential irritants that may contact the penis in one’s daily life.

7) Use a penis-specific moisturizer. When a man has dry penile skin, he may reach for any lotion lying around the house. But, as with soap, lotion that is suitable for the rest of the body may be too harsh for sensitive penis skin. That’s why it’s best to go with a product designed especially for the equipment with its delicate nature in mind. A penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) with vitamin E and Shea butter is a great choice for men whose skin sensitivity is attributed to dryness. Other beneficial ingredients like L-arginine and vitamin C may promote healthy blood flow to the member, and plenty of fresh blood can make tissues more resilient.

Penis Health and the Gym: Germs to Watch Out For

Maintaining that buff body a guy has worked so hard for means frequent visits to the gym. But frequent visits to the gym also hold the potential to negatively impact that hard-won penis health. Clearly, there can’t be a choice between overall body fitness and penis health; therefore, proper penis care demands that a man be aware of the possible threats that a trip to the gym holds for his junk so that he can take steps to protect it.

Germs
Germs are everywhere; that’s simply a fact of life. But a gymnasium is likely to have more than its share of germs. Add to this the fact that all that working out creates sweat, which is a vessel for spreading germs, and one can see how the germ quotient can multiply. And then when one adds in that a man may frequently be naked in parts of the gym, making the spread of those germs to his equipment even more likely, it may seem a wonder that a man ever leaves a workout without a new itch or rash.

So what are some of the penis health threats that a guy needs to be on the lookout for while doing his cardio or sweating it out in the sauna?

- Fungus. Candida is the nasty yeast that can be a bane for many men (and women). Candida breeds easily in hot, moist environments: sound familiar? It looks unappealing, with a red rash or patches of raw skin; as bad as it can look, it itches even worse. Ringworm, another fungal infection, has scaly ring-shaped patches that can be as large as quarter-sized and look rather disgusting. Jock itch is a form of fungal infection that is far too well known to men.

It’s easy for fungus to be passed on from another man’s foot or from other areas of bare, infected skin. In a humid locker room or steamy sauna, it can linger so that an unsuspecting man may contract it merely from stepping or sitting in the wrong place.

- HPV. The human papillomavirus has been much in the news in recent years as more and more people become aware of its existence. The virus generally presents as warts. The warts can appear anywhere, but the feet or the genitals are popular locations. It’s important to identify HPV so that treatment can be started. The treatment doesn’t cure the disease, but it contains and manages it. More importantly, it can keep it from developing into cancer. It’s true that HPV is most frequently "caught" through sexual contact, but it can be spread from locker rooms, saunas and showers as well.

- Staph. This bacterium is notorious for the skin infections it can cause. Most of the time, staph infections are relatively harmless, but in some cases it can develop into something serious. It’s possible to contract staph from a contaminated surface like a workout machine, but it’s more likely to contract it from sharing a towel or clothing with a man who has it.

There are a number of other possible germ-related issues that can develop, but these three point to a few steps a man can take to prevent infection:
- Wear sandals or flip flops in the locker room as much as possible.
- Sit on a clean towel when possible.
- Do not share towels, razors, shirts, etc. with another guy. And never share underwear!

Maintaining penis health at the gym also involves regularly using a superior penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). The appropriate crème can help relieve many symptoms associated with candida and staph. If the crème contains both a high-end emollient such as Shea butter and a natural hydrator like vitamin E, it can alleviate common itchiness and soreness. It’s also advisable to use a crème with vitamin D, which fights disease and helps enable good cell functionality.

Sex Tips: Proper Grooming for Men

Too often, men on the lookout for useful sex tips focus solely on "below the belt" issues and forget that sexual attraction is a total body thing. With that in mind, it's clear that body grooming can be an important asset when one is seeking a new partner or searching for ways to maintain the heat with an existing one. Body grooming certainly encompasses penis care, but that's only part of the grooming routine.

Hair definition
Good grooming involves many different facets, but this article will focus on hair grooming. Why? Because hair grooming plays such a key role in defining a man's "look." Many sex tips relate exclusively to the hair on top of one's head, but all parts of the body that sport hair can be attended to.
That doesn't mean that one needs to shave the hair on all parts of the body or even necessarily to alter the hair. It does mean that a man needs to take a total body hair assessment and determine what works as is and what doesn't - and what needs to be done to correct what is not working.

Hairstyle. This is the biggie, of course, and the one to which most men already pay the most attention. Finding the haircut that works best for a man's particular face is crucial. A guy should decide what he wants his haircut to say, what message it should convey. He then needs to find a stylist that can create that perfect look that no woman can resist. And, even more importantly, he needs to learn what he can do to maintain that look between cuts. The proper frequency of shampooing and conditioning, level of blow-drying, tricks for combing or brushing, etc. are essential. It can be time-consuming, but the gleam in a partner's eye makes it worth the effort.

Eyebrows. Here's where many men fall down. A certain degree of thickness in the eyebrows is appealing, but those that begin to resemble an overgrown jungle may go too far. It is also the rare man who can pull off the "uni-brow" look. Careful trimming and occasional tweezing can go a long way to improving these arches that create the all-important frame to a man's eyes.

Facial hair. Some guys are born for the sensual stubble look; on others, it looks sloppy. The same goes for beards and mustaches. It pays for a man to get some solid, honest answers from his best friends (especially those of the female persuasion) to know what level of facial hair looks best on him. And very few look good with unruly, bushy growths, so those who opt for facial hair need to be attentive to trimming.

The torso. A hairy chest can be very manly - or it can resemble a shag rug that has attached itself to one's body. Thick back hair is almost always a turn-off to a partner. Keeping torso hair to its best level is a very good idea, especially during the hot months when a man is apt to be shirtless. Remember: There's nothing wrong with waxing, especially one's back, if it's called for.

Groin hair. More and more men are paying attention to the hair around their sexual equipment. If a guy is in a relationship, it pays to ask how his partner feels about the hair down there. Many find a thick bush is sexy; others prefer a nicely trimmed thatch, while others think the totally bald look is a turn-on.

Many useful sex tips recommend some shaving of the penis hair when grooming. Shaved or not, it's essential to keep the equipment in good health through the use of a quality penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). Those crèmes with natural moisturizers like Shea butter and vitamin E are especially good for soothing a newly-shaved penis, as well as making any penis look spiffier and healthier. It's also essential that the crème contain L-arginine, an enzyme that plays a role in nitric oxide production and therefore in aiding penile blood flow. A well-groomed body is an excellent way to showcase a healthy-looking penis.

Penis Pain: Handling the Lumpy Penis

Guys like to take pride in their equipment, and a lumpy penis can strike a blow to that pride. When that lumpiness also brings about penis pain, it's a double blow. Guys with common sense practice appropriate penis care, but sometimes a lumpy tool requires a little extra care.

Lymphangiosclerosis
Bumps and lumps can pop up on the penis for various reasons, including genital warts, Fordyce spots, etc. Sometimes, a condition called lymphangiosclerosis is to blame.

What is it? Well, it sounds a lot scarier than it actually is. Lymphangiosclerosis refers to a hardened lymph vessel, in this case occurring in the penis. It's typically an inch or two long, and presents as a raised area of skin, fairly thin. At first glance, a guy might simply mistake this for one of the numerous veins that run throughout the manhood. However, veins are blue and a lymphangiosclerosis lump is not.

The lump has a definite hardness to it; doctors often describe it as feeling calcified or fibrous. It can be discerned in the penis in both its flaccid and erect states. In some cases, the "bulge" is particularly pronounced and noticeable. It is this lumpiness that many men and their partners find aesthetically off-putting. Looks aside, many partners who encounter the lump while caressing or orally gratifying the rod assume that it is some form of infection or disease - resulting in a cessation of the pleasurable activities that led to its discovery.

Cause
The exact cause of this penis lump isn't really known; however, it appears to be the result of enthusiastic sexual activity. When a guy is engaging in sex (with a partner or himself) with a little too much abandon or too much roughness, something in the process aggravates the lymph node and creates the swelling and hardening. Naturally, when having so much fun, a man doesn't notice anything. It may be many days later before he takes a look and sees there has been a new development.

Pain
Again, it's important to emphasize that lymphangiosclerosis is not the result of (or cause of) a social disease. It is not contagious, and it’s benign. But that doesn't mean it can't cause penis pain.
The pain is typically not encountered while the member is in its flaccid state. And an erection all by itself does not usually bring on pain.

However, when that erect penis is being put to its intended use - either through partner sex or masturbation - it can be a different story. The affected area has a tenderness to it that can become aggravated through friction. In addition, in some cases the lump may be large enough to cause some discomfort for the partner as well, although this is far less common.

Another side effect is that the calcified lump may cause a degree of curvature in the tool. For some men, this may add slightly to the discomfort they feel during sex.

Treatment
Lymphangiosclerosis is fairly common; many men will encounter it during their lives; some men will encounter it frequently. The lump usually goes away on its own, although this may take some weeks. If it does not go away after a couple of weeks, it could be a sign of another problem, such as a blocked vein.

If possible, a man should help avoid penis pain by refraining from sexual use during this period, but that is not absolutely essential. Men can avoid exacerbating pain from a dry or chafed tool with the regular application of a first-rate penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). For proper care, a crème that contains natural moisturizing ingredients, such as Shea butter and vitamin E, should be used. It's also beneficial if the selected crème contains acetyl L-carnitine; the rough handling which created the condition may also have caused a loss of sensitivity in the tool, dampening the enjoyment a man receives from sex. Acetyl L-carnitine is neuroprotective and can help restore diminished sensitivity.

Home made Sex Toys for Men to Enjoy

When it comes to masturbation, some guys never get bored. Whether it’s because they just love how their hand feels or because they practice different grip and rhythm techniques, more power to them. But, for some men, the same old hand can be a bit lackluster after a while. Since regular use and frequent ejaculations are beneficial to penile health, it’s important for men to find ways to revel in self-gratification. The following fun DIY tips will teach men how to give the hand a rest by creating their own sex toys with items found around the house.

1) Toilet paper/Paper towel tube: For many men, the cardboard tubes that provide structural integrity to toilet paper and paper towel rolls can also provide a tight but accommodating fit for an eager penis. The cardboard itself is too rough for the penis, so men should use their favorite condoms with this method. Simply insert the condom into the tube, fold the open end over the edge of the tube and tape it in place on the tube’s exterior. Put some lube in the condom and go to town. Men can derive extra enjoyment by pulling on the condom’s tip while masturbating; this creates a suction feel, replicating oral play.

2) Cup and sponge: A guy can also look for a cup in his kitchen that is long enough to house his member. He can then take two sponges, large enough to each fill half the cup’s inner wall, wet them in warm water and then fit them snuggly within the cup. Guys should be sure to use the softest of sponges for this one. Place lube in the crevices between the sponges and have at it.

3) Bubble wrap bottle: This one is similar to, but more complex and plush than, the cup and sponge method above. Guys can evenly cut off the top of a plastic soda bottle; then, they can take two large sponges, place them next to one another on a large sheet of bubble wrap and wrap them up. There should be extra bubble wrap that can be used to stretch over the edge of the bottle. Place the wrapped sponges inside the bottle; they should cover most of the bottle’s interior walls and leave a hole in the middle of the bottle just big enough to thrust the penis into. Fold the extra bubble wrap over the top edge of the bottle and tape it to the outside. Lube up the inside and enjoy the sensation of the bubbles on the penis.

4) Old-fashioned sock: Most guys have seen the American Pie film and at least considered emptying into a sock. The trick here is to place a surgical glove inside the sock with some lube, as the material of the sock may chafe the penis. Roll the top of the sock to create a tight doughnut, place the glove inside and fold the opening over the sock top. Then it’s ready to go.

5) Couch cushion baggie: Guys should take caution with this one, since a heavy couch cushion could place too much pressure on the member. If one’s furniture is deemed suitable, a man can simply fill a plastic baggie with lube (taking time to cut off the zip strip should the baggie have one), place it between couch cushions and enjoy the replicated vagina.

Even when a man takes precautions to ensure he’s playing with his new toys safely - using plenty of lube and condoms or glove liners, for example - frequent masturbation and the friction it brings can leave the member feeling chafed and dry. To help the skin heal and remain resilient, men can use a penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) with Shea butter and vitamin E after their shower; these natural moisturizers will keep skin smooth, supple and ready for the next session.

Erect Penis Enemy - Diabetes

Diabetes is a serious condition that causes many problems; it is an enemy to good health in general, as well as to an erect penis in particular. As a matter of fact, studies show that between 35% and 75% of men with diabetes will suffer some form of erectile dysfunction related to their condition. While practicing good penis care can help, it's important that a man takes special pains to prevent or deal with diabetes in order to have a more satisfying quality of life.

Diabetes
Diabetes is a medical condition in which the body is overloaded with blood sugar (also called glucose). This comes about because the body isn't able to develop enough insulin or because the body can't properly use the insulin that it does produce.

When diabetes is not managed properly, it can have long-term health consequences. Heart disease, nerve damage, kidney damage, vision problems, hearing impairment and Alzheimer's are among the complications that are frequently associated with or aggravated by diabetes.
In comparison with these issues, difficulty in obtaining or maintaining an erect penis seems relatively insignificant. However, because of the effect that this can have on a man's sexual life, self-image and quality of life, it's an area that deserves some attention.

Diabetes and the erect penis
How does diabetes have an effect on erectile function? To understand that, it's necessary to look at what goes into making a penis become erect.

When a man experiences sensory or physical stimulation of his penis, nerve signals shoot throughout the penis to tell it to wake up and pay attention. The spongy tissue in the penis known as the corpora cavernosa get a message telling the penile smooth muscles to relax. As they do this, the arteries open up so that blood can rush into the penis, fill up the spongy tissue and bring about the desired inflationary effect. The pressure on the veins traps the blood until such time as smooth muscle contracts, allowing the veins to open and the blood to flow back out.

One of the primary ways that the smooth muscles and veins know that it's time to go into their act and make an erect penis is by an influx of a chemical known as nitric oxide. When blood sugar is too high, it can cause damage to the blood vessels, which in turn prevents nitric oxide from being released properly. Without proper amounts of nitric oxide, the success of the smooth muscles and veins in creating an erection is affected.

Treat it
Preventing diabetes, or treating it carefully if one has it, is essential to general health, as well as to helping create the conditions for a successfully erect penis. Among the things one can do to prevent or treat diabetes are:

- Stop smoking.
- Maintain a healthy weight.
- Lower high cholesterol levels.
- Keep blood pressure at acceptable levels.
- Exercise properly (under the guidance of a doctor if necessary).
- Watch out for stress.
- Develop a positive body outlook and attitude.
If one is diagnosed with diabetes, it is absolutely crucial that one follows the prescribed treatment plan.

In addition to treating diabetes, it's important that every man take proper care of the health of his favorite organ. Regular use of a top-notch penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can be a big help in this area. In particular, a crème that includes L-arginine among its ingredients is advised. Why? L-arginine is an enzyme that, among other things, plays a crucial role in the development of nitric oxide. As detailed above, nitric oxide is an important part of the process by which blood vessels are kept open and blood, flowing. A crème with acetyl L-carnitine is also a good idea, as this can help with de-sensitization due to peripheral nerve damage in the manhood, thereby restoring a man's penile sensation.

Dry Penis? Get the Right Skin Care Product

The penis is no stranger to friction; regular use, both with a hand and a partner’s body, give the penile skin plenty to contend with. Skin may also be assaulted by the constant friction provided by the fabric of a man’s undergarments. Even soft fabrics can take their toll over time. Finally, skin may simply be dry and cracked due to a combination of cold weather and canned indoor heat that saps the skin of moisture. The result in each case is pain and sometimes impaired function. It’s important for men to take penis care steps to protect their delicate manhood skin. The following explains why and how to manage a dry penis.

Why Penis Skin Care?
There are a few great reasons to consider the presence of dry, irritated skin on the penis a call to action:
- Dry skin hurts! Cracked and dehydrated skin can feel itchy and sore, two things no man wants for his penis. Using his precious member may be difficult or even impossible, since dry skin lacks the elasticity of healthy skin; sliding it up and down may prove too painful.
- Dry skin generally has cracks in it. In the penis, this could translate to increased risk of bacterial infections, as cracks provide harboring grounds to bacteria. Some bacteria is normal on the penis; when there is an imbalance, smells and infections can occur. Cracked skin is but one risk factor.
- Sensation may be reduced. When skin is injured, the body responds by forming new skin. This new layer is generally tougher than the former; this process, called keratinization, is designed to protect the skin from further harm. However, the tougher layer of skin is less sensitive to sensations, something certainly not beneficial to the penis, which thrives on sensitivity to different forms of touch.

That’s why skin care is important for men, too - particularly, their manhoods.

What Type of Product?
A man with dry penile skin may be tempted to reach for any old lotion he has sitting around the house. But consider the following:

- Penile skin is, hopefully, more sensitive than the skin on the rest of a man’s body. That means it is more susceptible to irritation from chemicals and fragrances. Many lotions designed for the hands, face or body generally may be too harsh for the penis. A man should make sure the product he uses contains natural, non-astringent ingredients (one designed specifically for the penis is best).
- Look for Shea butter on the ingredient list. Shea butter is the oil from an African fruit; it has been used for centuries to treat many different skin conditions, including burns, dandruff, eczema, psoriasis and sores. While it may have an unpleasant odor and consistency for some when applied in its pure form, it is often mixed into preparations with other ingredients for a more pleasant experience.

- Vitamin E is another good ingredient to look out for. It’s all-natural and effective at keeping moisture from leaving the skin. There are several straight vitamin E products out there, such as vitamin E oil, but these tend to be greasy. They may block pores and increase the likelihood of developing pimples. Generally, that’s something men would like to avoid on their penises.

- Invest in a penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). A quality product will contain the abovementioned ingredients along with other skin- and penis-friendly components, such as vitamin C, for collagen production and youthful skin, and acetyl L-carnitine, which acts to protect nerves and maintain sensitivity levels. Healthy, supple, moisturized skin on the penis will also help men remain sensitive in the penile region, and will maximize the pleasure a man and his partner take in touching the member. When dry skin attacks, respond with the appropriate weapon.

An Active Penis Now = An Active Senior Penis

"Use it or lose it" is a phrase used in many situations, and it's true with sex as well: an active penis tends to be stronger and healthier than an inactive one. A new study gives further proof that practicing proper penis health as a young man can pay off in one's senior years - as well as in one's prime, of course.

Testosterone
For years, doctors and researchers have reported a general decline in both sexual activity and sex drive in senior men. This has coincided with a measured and noticeable decline in the testosterone level of these senior men. The logical conclusion, of course, is that as a man ages, his testosterone levels drop and therefore his sex drive also drops, along with his level of sexual activity.

The study
However, this new study, conducted in Australia, suggests just the opposite. The scientists involved in the Concord Health and Ageing in Men Project (CHAMP) looked at more than 1,300 men age 70 and above. Their testosterone levels were measured, and they were asked to assess their sexual functioning via questions that focused on frequency and duration of erections, completion of sexual activities, frequency of sexual activity leading to ejaculation and level of desire for sex in comparison to the estimated level they felt at age 50.

They found that testosterone levels did decrease, as did sexual activity and drive; however, the data suggest that it is the decrease in sexual activity and drive that caused the loss of testosterone, not the other way around.

Keep at it.
The lesson here is that senior men who express themselves sexually on a regular and satisfactory basis will have higher testosterone levels. Testosterone is important to sexual satisfaction, so it becomes a cycle: More sex means more testosterone, which means more sex, which means more testosterone, etc.

Start young.
Another lesson: Start young. Men in their 20s and 30s who experience a healthy sex life and an active penis tend to be better at maintaining that rate of activity into their senior years. So this is just further evidence that it benefits a man to have an active penis - whether that activity involves masturbating, oral sex, anal sex or intercourse. Keeping active through any of these methods keeps the penis alert and in good shape.

Another lesson: Keep up the frequency. Several studies have already indicated that men with regular, frequent ejaculations, starting in young adulthood, are less prone to developing prostate cancer in their senior years.

The best part, of course, is that this is one health regimen that’s fun and enjoyable. One has to lift weights and employ tremendous willpower to build muscle. All one needs is a good, strong hand to have an active penis. If one has a good partner or string of partners, so much the better. Otherwise, one simply has to be able to make a fist.

And a penis, whether that of a young man or a senior, is more likely to be an active penis if it is a healthy one. To maintain that health, use of a first-class penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can be beneficial. Whatever a man's age, a crème with L-arginine can help boost nitric oxide production, which in turn help to keep penile blood vessels wide open. Since an active penis is sometimes one that loses a bit of sensitivity due to rough handling, a crème with acetyl L-carnitine is advisable; this superior ingredient helps protect against the peripheral nerve damage that can lead to a loss of sensation. Getting into the habit of using a penis health crème now helps maintain organ health in later life.

Small Penis Anxiety - Putting Things in Perspective

Small penis anxiety is common to many men - even those who do not have what would technically be considered a small penis. Despite the fact that other considerations, such as the skill with which a man handles his tool and his penis health, are also of great importance, men continue to obsess about size.

What is small anyway?
Like so many things, "small" is in the eye (or mind) of the beholder. So, for that matter, are "average" and "large." However, a recent survey sheds some light on what the typical penis length is for a man.
BJU International , which is published by the British Association of Urological Surgeons, published a paper that looked into 20 studies that collectively evaluated the penis sizes of about 15,000 men. After they collated the data, they reported these findings:

- The average length of the penis when soft is 3.61 inches; when erect, the average length is 5.17 inches.
- The average girth of the penis when soft is 3.67 inches; when erect, the average girth is 4.58 inches.
In other words, in spite of the fact that men have always been told that an average penis is a full six inches long, the truth is that it is only slightly over 5 inches. And therefore, many men who are of a perfectly adequate and average length have probably felt that their penises didn't quite measure up to those of other men.

How many are small?
Another interesting fact, according to this study: Only 2.28% of men sport penises that could legitimately be termed "small." (A comparable percentage applies to those men that could legitimately be termed "large.") So approximately 95% of men have a penis that is average (or typical or normal - pick the preferred word).

Since the average depth of the vagina runs between 3 and 4 inches, an averagely-endowed man is more than well-equipped enough to perform satisfactorily from a size point of view.

Anxiety
Yet despite this, many men will undoubtedly continue to experience anxiety about the size of their tools. A 2007 study found that some 45% of men believed that they had a small penis; by contrast, 85% of the women surveyed reported that they were perfectly satisfied with their partner's penis in terms of its size.

But if 95% of members are of normal penis size, why were only 85% of those women satisfied? The wise guy answer is that guys with little rods are getting far more of their share of women than they deserve. A more logical answer might be that some of the female respondents may have experienced less than optimal sexual experiences and may have related this to the size of their mate's organ, rather than to his skill with it - or to the health of said organ. Both of these are factors that shouldn't be underestimated.

Skill is something that comes with time and practice for most men. When young, a man is easily excitable and the thrill of engaging in sex for many causes them to not be the most nuanced of lovers. Over time, a man comes to learn what works best for both him and his partner. He learns that certain forms of foreplay can have a big impact, or that certain positions can produce specific results.

Anxiety over what is perceived to be a small penis can also be alleviated by keeping the equipment healthy. Regular application of a first-rate penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can help in this area. A penis that looks strong and healthy makes a man feel proud of his package. Those crèmes that contain a potent antioxidant such as alpha lipoic acid and a combination of moisturizers (such as Shea butter and vitamin E) address common issues such as dry skin or aging penile cells. A crème that also contains vitamin C is best, for that vitamin is crucial for collagen production and penile tissue firmness. With proper care, a man can have a member to flaunt with dignity.

Better Sex through Sensory Control

No matter how good a man's love life may be, he's always up for better sex; when it comes to sensual satisfaction, the sky's the limit! There are numerous sex tips a couple can use, but one area that they may want to consider exploring is that of sensory control. Unlike some exploratory sexual practices, such as BDM, a man doesn't need to worry about how this might affect his penis health; it's more a matter of isolating sensory experiences during sexual contact.

Going beyond touch
Because sex is so often focused on physical sensation and stimulation, the sense that is most often associated with the activity is that of touch. While there's no denying that touch plays a vital role in sex, spending some time focusing on the other senses can add a new level to the experience.
One interesting way to incorporate sensory control into one's lovemaking is to isolate and then "eliminate" one of the senses. With one of the senses temporarily "deadened," the other senses may become more heightened. The novelty of engaging in sex with one of the senses controlled can transform the experience.

Here are a few tips for achieving this form of sensory control.
- Use a blindfold. Although there are other ways of de-emphasizing sight, such as closing one's eyes, turning off all the lights or using a sleep mask, a blindfold may be more fun for many couples. Its use carries with it a kind of erotic thrill.

- Incorporate earplugs. Some couples explore sex without sound by seeing what it's like if neither partner can talk, sigh, moan, grunt, etc., and there is validity to this approach; however, there still will be environmental sounds, such as bedsprings squeaking or a dog barking. Using earplugs may not block out 100% of the sound, but it can help.

- Avoid lip or tongue contact. While one wouldn't want to banish kissing permanently from one's coupling, it's interesting to occasionally engage in sex with no "tasting" of the other partner's lips, skin, tongue, breasts, privates, etc.

Alternatively, rather than banishing senses, it can be beneficial to concentrate on heightening one of them. There are many ways in which this can be accomplished, and partners shouldn't be afraid to let their imaginations roam free when coming up with new things to try.

To help get started, here are a few options one might consider:

- Lighting makes a difference. Shake things up by altering one's usual lighting patterns in bed. If a couple most often gets intimate in dim light, try keeping all of the lights on. Alternatively, those who copulate in bright light can explore how candlelit sex makes them feel. Buying some red light bulbs to stick into the lamps during sex can definitely alter the experience. A black light or strobe light experience can be especially interesting - although many are too sensitive to the strobe light for this to be an option.

- Get scented. Incorporate incense, patchouli, aromatic candles, etc. into one's experience. Although certain scents, such as vanilla, are said to be aphrodisiacal, each person is unique; partners should find out what special scents work best for them.

- Try new sounds. Many couples have special mood music, but sometimes natural sounds - recordings of gentle rain, a waterfall, soft breezes blowing through trees - can add a new level of sensuality. One can also go in the opposite direction and try out recordings that capture the lovemaking sounds of other couples.

- Get a taste for it. Letting one's lover lick sugar, spice or another favorite flavor off of one's body can be highly erotic for both partners.

Sensory control and exploration is one route to better sex. It is also a good idea for men to regularly use a top-drawer penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). Unwanted penis odor is definitely in need of sensory control, so a crème with vitamin A, which fights odor-causing bacteria, can help. Dry, flaky skin can also be a sensory turn-off, so applying a crème with moisturizers like Shea butter and vitamin E will keep the tool hydrated and healthy.

Penis Caught in Zipper? Care Steps to Free the Skin

Penis caught in zipper? Yikes! A 2013 article published in the Journal of the British Association of Urological Surgeons reported that about 17,616 men had shown up to the emergency room between 2002 and 2010 with part of their genital skin caught in the zippers of their pants. This problem is most prevalent among men with foreskins, and those who go commando are most vulnerable. Injuries to sensitive penile skin tend to be extremely painful, and appropriate penis care steps need to be taken in order to limit the damage to the skin when removing it from the grips of a metal fly. The following are methods used, either at home or the hospital, to get the skin free.
Note: It is best to seek out the help of a medical professional for this problem, as DIY methods may result in further damage to the skin.

1) Cutting the Zipper
If skin is caught between the teeth of the zipper, then removal is fairly simple. The zipper can be cut both above and below the site where the skin is trapped. The teeth will easily come apart, freeing the skin.

2) Cutting the Slider
Sometimes, penile skin gets trapped in the sliding mechanism of a zipper. When this occurs, the two faceplates that make up the front and back of the sliding mechanism can be separated to free the skin. To do this, a doctor may use a bone cutter, wire cutter or small hacksaw to sever the median bar that connects the two faceplates.

3) The Screwdriver Method
If breaking the faceplates apart is not desirable or deemed too risky, a screwdriver may be used to pry the faceplates apart and widen the gap between them, enabling the skin to come loose.

4) Mineral Oil Soak
Some medical professionals advocate soaking the zipper and skin generously in mineral oil, and allowing that to sit on the area for 10-20 minutes. It may loosen the skin enough to easily slide out.

5) Retracing the Zip
By far one of the least ideal methods, the penile skin may be freed by unzipping the zipper back over the entrapped skin. This can lead to further damage to the skin, and is best left as a last resort in case other measures fail.

6) Circumcision
Perhaps the least ideal of all solutions is emergency circumcision when the foreskin is entrapped. This is also a last resort, and should be considered only in the most severe cases where other options have proven ineffective.

Cuts and cracks on the penis are never a pleasant thing, and a zipper isn’t the only thing that can cause them. Excess friction from rough masturbation or sex can damage the skin. Penile tissues may also grow dry from cold weather or chafing against clothing. For the wellbeing of the tool, men would do well to wear soft cotton undergarments and to use adequate lubrication when engaging in sexual activity, either partner- or solo-based.

An extra step men can take to prevent cuts on the penis is to use a quality skin care product that keeps the area moisturized and supple. Ingredients like Shea butter and vitamin E are beneficial, but by themselves may be too greasy for the penis skin. That’s why it’s best to invest in a specially-formulated penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) that goes on smooth and doesn’t clog the pores like some pure products do. A crème that contains other penis-friendly ingredients for proper blood flow and nerve function (such as L-arginine and acetyl L-carnitine) is ideal. While a crème like this should not be applied to skin that is broken, it can be used once skin is closed up to help it heal and become more resilient.

Penis Care Steps for Optimal Health

All men want to avoid health problems related to the penis, from injuries to infections and diseases. Keeping the manhood in good form and function isn’t rocket science, but it does require men to take appropriate penis care steps. Everything from how a man washes it to how (and how much) he uses it can impact the wellbeing of the organ into old age and in the short-term as well; there are also more holistic factors of penis health that don’t directly involve what one does with the organ itself. By learning about the various contributors to a well-kept tool, men can increase their chances of performance ability both now and in the future; they can also enhance the pleasure they are capable of experiencing. Take the following penis care steps for optimal sexual and penile health.

1) Use it often. To understand this care step, a man must understand what happens when he has an erection. Two chambers within the penis, called the corpora cavernosa, become engorged with blood; this is what hardens the penis. Blood is rich in nutrients and oxygen, which are necessary for keeping penile tissues healthy. This may increase the likelihood of erectile ability lasting well into old age. There is also some evidence to suggest that frequent ejaculation may contribute to prostate health.

2) Don’t skip on sleep. Nighttime boners are something most healthy men experience, and they aren’t necessarily related to sensual dreams. During the rapid eye movement (REM) phase of deep sleep, the brain signals the penis to become erect, usually several times a night. As described above, frequent erections are good for the penis.

3) Wash well, but not too well. Using hot water and strong soaps can dry out the penis and lead to chafed skin as well as desensitization as the skin responds to excess friction by developing a tough outer layer. Use warm water and skip the soap altogether, or use a very gentle cleanser.

4) Don’t insert until completely rigid. A penis at half-mast is susceptible to buckling upon insertion, which can cause anything from skin tearing and temporary soreness to fracturing - a severe injury requiring surgery.

5) Easy on the hard thrusts. Though fractures are rare, they can occur from thrusting at an odd angle. Men are particularly vulnerable when the woman is riding on top. If things are getting out of hand, slow her down.

6) Self-examine often. Check for any abnormalities - bumps, discoloration, skin texture changes, etc.

7) Get regular check-ups. A man can’t replace his doctor. He should get routine examinations along with sexually transmitted infection screenings.

8) Mind the prostate. An enlarged prostate is a concern for many reasons - cancer being one of the most severe. But it can also lead to erectile dysfunction and early ejaculation. Guys should eat plenty of omega-3 fatty acids and avoid a high-fat diet in order to preserve prostate health.

9) Eat well. Diet-related diseases like heart disease and type 2 diabetes are related to poor penile health, since they affect blood flow and nerve function. Plenty of fiber and antioxidants in the diet, combined with limited saturated fat and sugar intake, are important components of a healthy regimen.

10) Control bad habits. High alcohol intake or cigarette smoking can affect penile health in a variety of ways, from interfering with adequate blood flow to desensitizing nerves. Keeping these habits in check does the penis good.

11) Use a penis skin care product. Skin care isn’t only for women, or only for the face and hands. Penile skin can grow dry, sore and/or wrinkly, and deserves some love. A penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) with Shea butter and vitamin E can do wonders for manhood skin. The best products contain other nutrients, like L-arginine and acetyl L-carnitine, that promote circulatory and nerve function as well.

Healthy Penis - Spring Cleaning for the Manhood

With the coming of warmer weather, spring cleaning is in the air. This is an excellent time for a man to re-commit to maintaining a healthy penis and make spring cleaning his penis one of his goals. Regular, sensible penis care is the best way to maintain the health of a man's favorite organ, so sticking to an ongoing maintenance plan is a wise idea.

Take stock.
As with anything, it makes sense to take a few minutes to assess the condition of the manhood before getting started on its spring cleaning. Here are a few things to try:

- Do a sniff test. Granted, except for those who are exceptionally limber, that's easier said than done when talking about the penis. But if a guy can smell an aroma wafting from his crotch without even bending down, chances are he has a rank penis odor. If one has a partner, ask her or him frankly if the odor attached to the penis is too strong or unpleasant. The news may hurt a bit, but it's good to know these things.

- Examine the skin. Sexually active men need to regularly check for STIs, especially if they practice unsafe sex. But all men also need to simply keep an eye on what might be called the "everyday health" of the junk. Penis skin is enormously sensitive; changing one's soap, shampoo or laundry detergent can have a big impact on many men's members. So can dry weather, showers that are too hot and many other factors. Dry or flaky skin not only can cause a man to constantly be tugging and scratching at his equipment (possibly leading to an embarrassing misunderstanding of what he's doing) but can also be a turn-off when the rod is unveiled for a partner.

- How's the hair? Many men are proud to sport a massive bush of hair and don't give it a second thought. Others are experts at manscaping, trimming the pubes into a pleasing length or shaving it all off and presenting totally smooth. It's all a personal preference, but now's a good time to take a glance and see if a guy might like to go with a new look for the spring.

- Take it out for a test drive. Chances are, a guy is going to know just how well his manhood performs - but it's always fun to do a test drive, right? Really concentrating on the equipment while masturbating can help a guy to gauge things with a fresh eye: Is the firmness factor satisfactory? How is the tool's sensitivity holding up; has pounding at it too frequently or too roughly caused it to lose some of that sensitivity that a guy really wants his pole to have?

Get cleaning.
Once the assessment is over, take steps to make the pecker into a mightily healthy penis. Certainly, part of a guy's regular health routine must be washing regularly with an appropriately effective yet mild cleanser. For those who wish to manscape a bit, using clean scissors and/or razors is essential.
But proper spring cleaning for a healthy penis doesn't stop there. A man really needs to make the daily use of top-notch penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) part of his regular routine. The anti-bacterial properties of a crème with vitamin A can help stamp out that persistent, clingy penis odor. Natural moisturizing ingredients (like Shea butter and vitamin E) found in the best crème will help address dry skin and soothe itchiness caused by shaving. Finding a crème with vitamin C (for collagen production and tissue firmness) and L-arginine (which aids penile blood flow) will lend to a healthy penis. And a crème with acetyl L-carnitine can address loss of sensitivity due to peripheral nerve damage. The right crème can be a boon to proper penis maintenance.

Libido and Diet – Foods to Avoid for Better Sex

Most people have heard of aphrodisiacs - foods that have a reputation for upping sex drive. But are people aware of foods that may do the opposite? Most of the foods that negatively affect libido do so by suppressing testosterone levels, which are needed by both men and women in ample supply for a healthy sex drive. The hormone is also necessary for men’s erectile ability. Along with practicing proper penis care and maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle, men should be aware of the following foods that may reduce sex drive, particularly when consumed in large quantities or with great frequency. A better sex life may result from this knowledge.

Testosterone Reducers
1) Soy: Tofu, edamame and other soy products can increase estrogen levels, thereby decreasing testosterone. Consume in moderation.
2) Licorice: This distinctive candy, along with herbal preparations such as tea, can snuff the mood.
3) Mint: Nobody likes bad breath, but eating mint products can lower testosterone levels. Choose toothpaste over mints.
4) Chocolate: Though it is known to boost good feelings, it may negatively impact the all-important sex hormone. A little chocolate can be sensual; a bunch can be counterproductive.
5) Hydrogenated fats: Often found in deep-fried or processed foods, hydrogenated fats are bad both for the waist line and for the libido.
6) Refined carbohydrates: Corn flakes were invented to decrease sexual urges and masturbatory practices. The theory was that bland foods quell sensual desire. In reality, it’s more likely that refined carbohydrates (think white flour) zap testosterone levels. Go for whole grain cereals, crackers, pastas, bread products, etc.
7) Cheese: Cheese made from cow’s milk may be loaded with hormones that interfere with a human’s hormone production.
8) Quinine: This ingredient of tonic water can impact testosterone levels; combined with gin, the impact on libido may be even worse. Go easy on, or lay off, the gin and tonics before a sexy encounter.

Serotonin Skewer
Serotonin is another hormone that is important for a healthy sex drive, as well as overall emotional regulation and well-being. Artificial sweeteners like aspartame are known to skew serotonin levels and may negatively impact sex drive. These sweeteners are commonly found in diet sodas, as well as other beverage and food products labeled "diet" or "sugar-free." Health-conscious men with a sweet tooth may want to wean themselves off candy and soda and opt for fruits instead - dates and figs are particularly sweet options. Over time, the taste buds adjust to more subtle forms of sweetness and men may find they no longer desire candies or sodas.

Testicular Toxin
Strange chemicals called perfluoroalkyl acids that are found in the lining of many microwave popcorn bags, as well as non-stick pans, can harm the testicles. Common forms of the acids are PFOS and PFOA. They have been linked to reduced sperm count, testicular tumors and lower sex drive. When buying cookware, men should opt for cast iron or products that manufacturers specifically state do not contain these chemicals. Buy popcorn kernels and pop them in a pan on the stovetop or a brown paper bag in the microwave.

Just as there are foods that negatively impact libido, there are nutrients that are beneficial to sexual and penile health. Men should make sure they are eating a diet that gives them proper nutrition. Certain vitamins are important for penis health specifically, including vitamins A, E, C and B5. Along with a healthy diet, men can deliver these and other beneficial ingredients directly to the manhood by using a penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). Along with promoting the health of cells, proper blood flow and nerve function, a product like this contains natural moisturizers that keep the skin soft, supple and pleasing to the touch.

Sex Tip - Recognizing Mood Killers

If porn movies were to be believed, every man’s penis jumps to a massive erection at the slightest cause and is impervious to mood killers of any sort. Here’s a little sex tip that more women need to know: The penis is actually far more moody than one might think. True, when its owner practices sensible penis care, it’s generally in a "can do" state - but that doesn’t mean certain mood killers can’t cause his confident façade to falter.

What are some of these mood killers that turn a raging hard-on into a sleepy softy?

Infantilizing the organ.
A penis likes to be appreciated for his manliness and virility. When the luscious woman he’s about to bring pleasure to is talking about him, he wants her to use the appropriate language: "massive," "amazing" and "awe-inspiring" are adjectives that readily come to mind that are much appreciated by a peppy member. "Cute," "sweet" and "adorable," on the other hand, are not. Their use leads to the quick deflating of a formerly swollen member.

Making comparisons.
Guys tend to be competitive and like to know that they have come out on top in any contest. This is especially true when talking about a man’s sexual performance and/or manhood. A sex tip to always remember: It’s never a good idea to negatively compare what a man is currently doing, or anything about his penis, with another man’s performance or endowment while engaged in sexual activity. (Talking about this another time is fair game, but not in the heat of the moment.) It’s even risky to make a positive comparison when a guy is hard at work; it may trigger a fear that he has to keep performing at this level or lose in the "who’s the better lover" contest with your past partners.

Waiting too long.
It’s a general rule of thumb: If a penis is hard, it generally would like a release. Now, guys walk around with boners all day and learn to live with it. However, if a woman is actively rubbing a guy’s crotch with the intention of generating tumescence and then disappears for 10 minutes, it creates a difficult situation: If the firmness starts to diminish, should the guy keep stroking in order to keep it ready for a return? He’s going to get nervous and anxious, worrying whether he will be able to keep it standing at attention - and that can lead to a fast fade.

Being too schedule-oriented.
It’s nice for a man to know that he’s going to have sex in the bedroom on Wednesday and Saturday at 11:15. He likes having something to look forward to. But he also likes a little surprise, the occasional quickie on an off-night or getting it on in the kitchen or the car or under the stars. Being too rigid can result in boredom and/or resentment - neither of which is good for fulfilling sex.

Odors.
Women don’t appreciate a man whose breath reeks of garlic; neither do men like this in a woman. A slight sexy musk scent can be attractive on a woman’s body, but sweat is another thing altogether - as is an excessively strong perfume. The olfactory senses can be very important to successful sexual encounters. When the nose is assaulted with unpleasant sensations, the penis reacts by losing interest.
A related sex tip: Men also need to pay attention to odors and other health issues, including penis health. Using a first-class penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) helps to offset mood killers that he may bring to the bed. For example, strong penis odor is a big complaint of many women. A crème loaded with vitamin A, which has potent anti-bacterial properties, can help significantly. And one with natural moisturizers like Shea butter and vitamin E can help take care of dry or flaky penis skin or other dermatological matters so that the equipment looks strong and appealing.

Married and Masturbating: How Open Should a Man Be?

A guy usually starts masturbating when he is a teen-ager and continues throughout his life. That naturally means that married men continue masturbating, even when they are the recipients of regular sexual activity with their partners. Frequent ejaculations, including from masturbation, help to ensure penis health, so this is perhaps to be expected. Yet many men feel shame about masturbating while married, and this raises the question: How open should a husband be about pleasuring himself?

How many masturbate?
No one can say for sure how often married men masturbate. One online survey found that 87% of its male married respondents said they had masturbated in the last three months before taking the survey. (Of the men surveyed, 9% masturbated daily or more; 30% reported masturbating between one to three times during the three month period.) Another survey found that 85% of men who were married or living with another person masturbated.

Assuming that these statistics are somewhat accurate, it’s clear that most married men do not stop engaging in masturbatory activity once they are married. Do their wives know this? According to the first survey referenced above, only 15% of wives knew how often their husbands took sexual matters into their own hands.

Open or not?
Should a man be open with his spouse about his masturbatory habits? There is no universal answer. A great deal depends on several factors:

- How comfortable does the man feel about his masturbating? Many men have associations of guilt and shame connected to masturbation. They don’t like to admit that they masturbate to even their closest friends - even if said friends have no problem referencing their own boner fondling activities. In such cases, a man must feel very positive that the information will be received by his wife in an appropriate manner. Which leads to:

- How receptive does he think his wife would be? Some women do not really want to know how often meat-beating goes on when they’re not around. They may assume that their husbands are above what they may consider base desires or they may assume that the men masturbate because most men do - and some women are fine with that. Hopefully, a man and woman in a relationship know enough about each other to be able to predict the partner’s level of interest in this subject.

- Does he want to share this information? Many men may not want to make public the details of their solo sexual life - not because they are ashamed or feel guilty, but because it is something that he does by, to and for himself, and he feels his privacy should be respected.

- Is the activity related to a problem? Sometimes a man may masturbate as a way of escaping or avoiding something. He may masturbate because he feels angry at his wife but cannot express this. Or he may feel coldly toward his wife and decide he would rather masturbate than engage in sexual intimacy with her. If this kind of activity is consistent, the masturbation may be a sign of a larger problem. Talking about why he is masturbating in these instances may be a way to address these issues.
It should be noted that openness about masturbation varies considerably. Some men masturbate furtively and in secret; others may think nothing of fondling themselves while they watch TV with their wives. Finding the appropriate degree of openness depends upon the people involved in the relationship.
Of course, masturbating sometimes leads a man - married or otherwise - to penile soreness from over-enthusiastic engagement. Using a top-drawer penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) with the natural moisturizing power of Shea butter and vitamin E can help alleviate such soreness. If loss of sensation due to rough handling is an issue, a crème that also includes neuroprotective acetyl L-carnitine can help; this ingredient’s ability to counter peripheral nerve damage makes it invaluable in restoring lost sensitivity.
